Magnificent essential oils can also be use with effect in your kitchen; many oils belonging to different categories serve as an effective cleaning agent and also as a deodorant. Some edible essential oils also serve as an ingredient or as an additive to induce that pleasing aroma to your food and other dishes. Your kitchen is a hub of numerous activities; a place to cook your food, an activity center for you kids to do their work and a dining room to eat your food.

It is also a place where you will see lot of dirt, garbage cans and wet feet all over the floor. The smell of old food, grease and grime is all too familiar for any one who works in the kitchen. This means that your kitchen, if not kept clean and germ free, becomes a sore sight and an awful bin of offensive smell. So what will you do to eradicate all these problems? Will you use any chemical agents to solve the problem? Or do you wish to use those agents, which are natural and organic?

Essential oils, due to their pleasing smell and aroma, are also well known agents to remove offensive smell and odor from your home. A few drops of your favorite essential oil can add that warm feeling, free of any bad odor and air. There are many well known oils that are used to clean kitchen sinks, dishes and all nooks and corners.

Most of the dish washing detergents and liquids are incorporated with dashes of lemon and mint flavor. These flavors are known degreasing agents and make your dishes shine very well. Also, they are also used as germ killers with some degree of effectiveness.

Instead of these chemical agents, you can start using lime or lemon oil to wash your dishes and clean your sinks. A few drops of your favorite oil on a piece of cloth and placed in those places (where dirt and odor is known to accumulate), will add fresh aroma and smell. This removes the feeling of dirtiness and induces freshness in your kitchen.

You can make your own essential oil blends along with some soap to clean your kitchen. How ever, you need a soap liquid or powder, which does not smell offensive and emit bad odor. You can introduce the fruity aroma of lemon or citronella oil or alternatively you can also add fresh pine smell of birch or lavender. Lime adds to the feeling of freshness, while citrus seed oil lend that magical feeling of energy. Other popular flavors are orange, peach and lime grass essential oils.

Essential oils also demonstrate an air of perfection and practicality of the home maker. It also displays that exquisite taste of aesthetics and pragmatism in your personality. Essential oil is part of your kitchen just because, they are derived from plant sources, which are close to your heart and mind.
